What is True Meditation? —Part 8

Where there is envy, no meditation is found.
Meditation is not motion to acquire something,
but rather motion to purify the spirit from such desires.

Human desires are rooted in fear.
Desires to experience something delightful and to possess God,
are merely escapes from your own vacant life.
You seek various things because you don’t have any,
and there is always fear for vacancy behind it.

Where there is fear, no freedom is found.
If there isn’t freedom, no meditation is found.
Meditation comes from the free mind without chaos.
If the mind is chaotic, true meditation never occurs.

Meditation begins when all envy and desires end.
The spirit without envy or desires isn’t tied to fear.
It is totally quiet and silent.
Great meditation comes from the quietness and silence.

The mind which doesn’t want or seek anything is “empty”.
The base of meditation is this “emptiness”.
It has nothing, so it has infinite possibilities.
It is “empty”, so the meditation is infinite.

True meditation lies within the field of emptiness without desires.
