“Don’t ask for any compensation to the future, but accept the past as it was.
Renounce a time immediately. Renounce both the past and the future.
It is the same as accepting death.”

The unhappier our present life is,
the more compensation to the future most of us try to ask for.
Besides, if we can’t get satisfied in the inner life as well,
we expect the future to bring us spiritually satisfying support.

Why do we always try to ask for compensation?
We seek things that satisfy our mind, wish them and do anything to get them.
Because we are troubled and unhappy now, we seek different happiness and satisfaction for the future.
We ask for compensation to the future to get our lost happiness and delight in a different way.

Why do we always ask for compensation to the future and try to satisfy our mind?
Is it because we can’t tolerate our emptiness?
We want things that satisfy ourselves at any cost.
We are desperate with our empty mind of nothingness.

However, if we get things that satisfy us,
then we are afraid of losing them, and the struggle of mind not to lose them begins.
Fear, anxiety and sense of loss, sorrow and desperation that come after losing —
Repeating such things doesn’t lead to any freedom of mind at all.

Then, can we seek nothing any more, ask for no compensation to the future,
accept the past we have gone through,
and live in the reality as it is?

Live in the reality without the past or future.
It is to accept the reality of death.
When there is neither the past nor the future, but the mind that doesn’t cling to a life at all,
there is the complete freedom of mind.

When there is the free mind that accepts death each day, the completely free mind,
we enter into the entirely new dimension of life.
It is the fundamental revolution of life, and to be born again as a new human-being.
