The Words of Meister Eckhart, a German Mystic — Part 7

“Among God’s surprising creations, nothing is more similar to God than human soul.
Therefore, God wants this soul to be empty except for God Himself.
If the soul becomes empty and has God alone, it would be equal to God.””

Human soul, mind, is overflowing with various desires and wishes.
Our mind always seeks something and is occupied by various spiritual possessions.

Then, can we renounce such desires or wishes, all of our spiritual possessions.
and make our mind entirely empty and blank?

If our mind is full of various spiritual possessions and overflowing with our ego,
the divinity wouldn’t dwell in that mind.
Do God, good and saints have desires or wishes?

People who are overflowing with spiritual possessions and constantly seek various achievements or contentment,
People whose mind is occupied by many things,
such people has no spiritual emptiness nor spiritual blank,
so they have no space for divinity to come in.

Eckhart says “only the empty soul is equal to God”.
When mind is hollow, vacant and empty,
there is infinite acceptability of the unknown,
and the possibility of blooming of new divinity begins.
