Innocent Mind

 The New Testament says as follows;

“No one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

This passage can be interpreted in various ways.
It can be interpreted to mean that
we can’t know God if we have no childlike innocent mind.

What is to be innocent?
It is the constantly fresh mind which doesn’t be infected by anything,
the pure mind which doesn’t be fettered by human desire nor calculation,
the free mind without sorrow nor fear —

Isn’t it innocence?
Then, do we grown-ups have the innocent mind?
Or have we lost it?

If we have fear or sorrow, there would be no innocence.
If we belong to something specific and are infected by it, there would be no innocence.
If we continue to have ugly desires or calculating thoughts, there would be no innocence.

Innocent mind are not fettered by knowledge nor words,
has no wishes nor ideals for the future,
and are not tied down to the past memories.

Innocence is the completely open mind,
and the bare and naked spirit, living fully at this very moment.
Only innocent spirit has the infinite sensitivity to mystery.
