Search for sacredness

The great religious philosopher J. Krishnamurti, born in India, once told this.
“What is meditation? It is search.

It is search with your heart and soul for finding sacredness and encountering sacredness. To exist such meditation, mind must be silent. With silence of mind, the free spirit makes it possible to search for the first time.
The mind to encounter sacredness is such an entirely quiet mind,
and from the deep silence the great things unfold.”

Our daily life is utterly arid.
Especially in a civilized country with material affluence like Japan,
Spiritual affluence of humans are not found,
and there is no mind to seek true religious spirit nor sacredness.

Overflowing materials, money, business, amusements …
We depend on such things,
and our life is mechanical like a robot.

How many people are there
who really look at the life
and are thinking about setting out on a journey of new discovery of life?
How many people are there in this world
who are searching with their heart and soul for finding sacredness?

As long as our own mind doesn’t become sacred,
the sacredness would never appear.

Can people who indulge in amusements and pleasure find out sacredness?
Can people who are busy with jobs or business find out sacredness?
Can sacredness be found where there are ambitions or desire to achieve?
Can sacredness be found where there are feelings like fear or sorrow?

As long as we ourselves don’t become solemn, pure, beautiful and sacred as a human,
there is no sacredness anywhere.
Everything depends on the quality of our own mind.
Only a person with sacred mind encounters sacredness.
