What is True Meditation? —Part9

Meditation and attentiveness are connected closely.
Meditation is motion deepened by attentiveness.
Without attentiveness, there is arrogance.
If you are unfocused, you can’t feel “life” deeply.

Only attentive spirit discovers truth of life.
Can unfocused and listless spirit
find out truth of life at all?
Only those who live seriously find out truth.
And those who live seriously have sharp attentiveness.

Attentive spirit means solemnity and seriousness of life.
Meditation is solemn and serious.
If you are unfocused and feckless, you can’t meditate.
The spirit is corrupt and rotten there.

Without attentiveness, you can’t meditate.
Only attentive spirit has a deeper insight and understands life better.
Attentiveness determines the depth of meditation.
Quality of meditation is the foundation of truly religious life.

Only spirit which faces life truly solemnly
can feel mystery of life, its extraordinary depth and divinity,
and such spirit maintains attentiveness highly.

Attentiveness is absolutely the religious quality.
