Human lives seen in modern societies are mostly monotonous and mechanical.
Many people incessantly repeat petty amusement or pleasure,
and live almost depending on it.
Custom takes root unconsciously,
and the custom and life attitude become routine.
Once you fall into the rut, it is difficult to get out of it.
Essentially, life is constantly making new discoveries,
and if there are no new discoveries, the life would be totally tedious and insipid.
As long as you are trapped in custom, you can’t get out of its range.
For example, televisions or radios are a part of our life,
but this is a custom we have made up.
We depend on the amusement, as if we can’t live without it.
In addition, when we throw a new look at our life,
we would realize how much we are trapped in customs.
Custom makes spirit mechanical and monotonous.
Where same things are repeated, there aren’t any new things.
Whether it is amusement or pleasure, they are the repetition of same things after all,
and even though their aspects are different, all of them are fundamentally the same.
If there are any new discoveries of life, the life is like an old junk
and has no freshness or surprise. It has only tediousness and mediocrity.
Being deeply lost in conventional life and not trying to get out of it is a mediocre way of living.
Extraordinary life is standing always on a new horizon, making new discoveries
and blooming new creativity of life.
To find new creativity, we must deny flatly any mechanical customs.
Life without repetition but always with new discoveries — That is important for us.
