Empty Mind
Mind that desires nothing and seeks nothing,
mind that has nothing and loses nothing,
that’s the empty mind.
Empty spirit is entirely free spirit.
“Empty” literally means nothing.
Mind obsesses over nothing and is tied to nothing.
We humans always lose our heart in something.
About our human relationships, work or daily social life,
our mind is always fussing around.
Mind constantly seeks and desires something.
Even if we can acquire something,
then our mind is afraid of losing what we have acquired.
After all, human mind is just running in circles.
It moves around to seek, and moves around for fear of losing.
Our mind itself is like a prison.
It is always full of many things, and this suffers us.
Then, can we make our mind entirely empty?
That means we empty everything our mind holds.
It may be dreadful.
Because being empty means giving up everything we have.
However, if we don’t give up ourselves, we can’t open up our tied mind.
People who are afraid of emptiness don’t know real freedom.
As long as we are afraid of emptiness, there is no freedom.
