 The Words of Meister Eckhart, a German Mystic — Part 5
 
 “The greatest thing man speaks of God is
to be completely silent without any words.”

There were no words nor names in the universe from the beginning.
Words and names are made after human-beings were born,
and the original form of the universe is silence without a word.  

Silence, the void, vast and infinite silence, is the universe for itself.
The universe, mystery and God are entities beyond words,
so we can’t explain their existence with words.

God, explained with words, is not God any more.
We can’t dictate nor describe mystery.
Mystery is something experienced or felt actually in silence.  

We can’t talk about God nor mystery.
The told God would not be God any more.
 
In order to communicate with mystery, silence is necessary.
The universe has no words, and lives as an entity itself.
We can hear the voice of the universe only in silence.
 
From the depths of bottomless silence, mystery of the universe is unfolded.
