What is True Meditation? —Part 25
Only when we have time to be alone, we can meditate.
If we are buried in groups and worldliness, we can’t meditate deeply.
It is important to have time to spend quietly alone without being interrupted by anyone.
Instead of slacking off and falling into pleasure,
we should be alert and attentive toward “life”.
In noisy chatter or a bustle,
we can’t use our attentiveness with the quiet and clear mind.
To realize “life” deeply, time of solitude is necessary.
Being alone enables us to be attentive toward “life”.
When we are alone, we naturally enter into deep meditation.
Then, the mind calms down, anxiety or worry vanishes and sensitivity or awakening becomes sharp.
By sharpening awakening, we also sharpen sensitivity toward “life”.
Nothing enriches meditation better than complete solitude.
Solitude is to calm down totally internally, not externally.
The quietness contains infinite possibilities of meditation.
Solitude is the foundation of meditation.
The expanse of meditation is with the solitary spirit.
